The Joy of Driving

I woke up early, finished tuning my car, then checked the suspension.

On Saturday afternoons when the engine is nicely warmed up,

that’s when I’m ready to have a good time.

Today is the first day that I’m driving with my new radiator.

After checking the route again, I firmly pressed down on the pedal.

The comfortable vibration of the engine, the scenery on the way,

and the smooth acceleration made me want to keep driving.

On my way back after having fun driving with my friends, I continued driving on.

I arrived just before sunset.  The moment I placed my food on the ground,

the luxurious green field was awash in gold all 360 degrees around,

bathing me in the warm light.

The car is an important partner that leads me to the unknown,

to landscapes, places, and people that I have never known before,

giving me the potential to enjoy life even more.

With this sense of excitement, I press on the pedal and drive off.
